Courtney came to Roka Studios for her Denver senior photos. I also photographed her sister a couple of years ago and she also came to the session to support her sister. It’s always fun to see previous seniors and talk about what they have been up to since they graduated. Courtney goes to Lakewood High School. For those of you that are Katy Perry fans and viral videos, you might recognize Courtney. She was the one behind the Lakewood High School lip dub for the Katy Perry Contest. The contest was to bring Katy Perry to come to the winners high school and perform a concert for them. Good Morning America teamed up with Katy Perry to hold the contest. High Schools from all over the country submitted videos and it was narrowed down to 5 entries. Lakewood High School won the contest and after you watch the video you will know why. They planned the lip dub and ended up doing the whole video in one take with all the students at Lakewood.

Courtney ended up on many of the local channels her in Colorado. Including The Denver Post, 7 News, 9 News and also on Good Morning America. The best thing was the recognition that the school received and having Katy Perry come to Lakewood High School to perform for them. Lakewood is my biggest school of seniors that I photograph. I was so proud and excited for them.

Check out their lip dub video at the end of this post. The Lakewood High School lip dub video on Vimeo has had 728,000 hits and was retweeted by Katy Perry herself. On You Tube it has been viewed over 447, 668 times. How impressive is that.
