Meet Emma one of of Class of 2018 Senior Model Reps. Emma attends Legacy High School. I absolutely LOVE the senior pictures we captured of her from her first session in Denver. She brought stylish clothes, accessories, and her prom dress which I LOVE! So looking forward to capturing more portraits of Emma when she does one of our Destination Sessions this summer in Telluride.

Looking forward to the most your senior year? I am excited about the freedom that comes during my senior year.  I’m also excited to find out where I will be going to college, but not so much to do the actual applying.

Favorite thing to do in Colorado: A few friends and I have more recently discovered that we love hiking!  I’ve loved exploring Boulder’s Flatirons and Golden’s peaks more recently.

When I grow up I wanna be: In the field of biological research, at least at the moment.  I still have so many unexplored interests so who knows what path I will end up taking?

If I won the lottery I would: Donate a lot of the winnings.  No one really needs that much money.

 Your favorite musical artist: This one is a difficult one for me; my music taste ranges from modern rock, pop country, electronic, and everywhere inbetween.  I would say though that one of the first bands I loved and still love is Cage the Elephant, especially their newest album.

 Favorite places to shop: Nordstroms and Abercrombie and Fitch are pretty much where I buy the majority of my clothing.  Oh, and I also steal from my little sister’s closet all the time.

 Your proudest moment:My proudest moment was probably when I got my testing scores back.  I didn’t think I would do as well as I did, and I was proud of myself for surprising myself.

 Your favorite memory growing up: Back when I lived in Kansas, we used to have a pear tree that would bloom every spring.  I loved climbing in the tree and reading when all of the white blooms were out.  As cheesy as it sounds, it felt magical.

 What you want to change about this world: Overall, I’d want people to be more giving and people to volunteer more.  Volunteering has been one of the many things I have enjoyed recently, and I feel like it has made me a better person.

 Summer plans: My summer this year isn’t quite that exciting.  It’s going to be a lot of essay writing for colleges and different scholarships since I will be way too busy during the fall to worry about a lot of it.  I also will be doing an internship for an academic STEM program I am in, probably in the field of biological research.

 Where do you envision yourself being in 10 years: I hope to be done with school forever by then and well into my career.

First concert: My mom and her friend Kathy, ever the Gwen Stefani lovers, took me and a friend Lilly to a No Doubt concert for my first concert.  It was mediocre since I didn’t really know any of the songs.  I liked my next concert, a Miley Cyrus one, much better.

Your jam song and why? My jam song changes based on the day of the week, but here’s just a few: Woman by Harry Styles, Back Stabbin’ Betty by Cage the Elephant, How Big How Blue How Beautiful by Florence and the Machine, New Song by Warpaint, Bohemian Rhapsody by Queen.

 Favorite movies: I’m notorious for not having seen many movies at all.  Love Actually is my favorite that I have seen though.

 Your list of possible colleges and major:The state schools that I am mainly interested in are The University of Kansas and The University of Colorado at Boulder.  Beyond that, I am still exploring other schools like Northwestern, Duke, Cornell, and many others.  If I had to pick a major right now, it would probably be biology.

 Three things you could not live without:

1. My Family, they’re my support system and the reason why I am who I am today

2. My Hydroflask, it’s the best waterbottle I’ve owned in the history of ever and probably one of the best things I’ve bought

3. The Internet, I don’t know how people did things before the internet was around.  Almost everything I do involves it now
