Horizon High School | Senior Pictures | Mikala

Meet Mikala from Horizon High School. She is one of our 2018 Senior model reps. We did her senior pictures in Denver with her sister. Her sister Aubree is also a senior model rep for our studio.  We are so thrilled to have two sisters as part of our model team. Something friends/people might not know about you: One thing my friends and family may not know about me is that I’m in love with 50’s and 60’s music. My favorite artists to listen to are people like Elvis, Frank Sinatra, and so many others. I know a few of my friends look at me strangely when songs like that come up on my playlist but I would never skip those songs!

Your favorite musical artist: My favorite musical artist is Tori Kelly. I love her voice and admire her as a person. She’s incredibly talented and beautiful and it’s great to see kind artist like her in this world.

Three things you could not live without: three things I could never live without is my phone (no surprise to anyone), my speaker that I use almost everywhere I go, and even though this one isn’t an object, I couldn’t live without my mom. She’s truly my best friend and I don’t know what I would do without her.

Summer plans: For summer, I plan on working at a local water park that I’ve be going to since I was a little kid. I’m really excited because I know I’ll have fun! Then in the middle of June I get to go back to Disney world in Florida; my true happy place!

Favorite thing to do in Colorado: One of my favorite things to do in Colorado is to drive up into the mountains and go on hikes with my friends and family. I love looking at the beautiful view and feeling so at home!

Your proudest moment: My proudest moment would have to be when I placed Top ten for a competition at my HOSA state conference. It felt amazing and it made me feel like I was taking the right steps into my future in health care.

When I grow up I wanna be: When I grow up, I hope to be working in any part of the medical field. By next June, I will be getting certified as an EMT, but I hope in my future I will be able to because a pediatric nurse.

Your favorite memory growing up: My favorite memory growing up was filming a bunch of random videos with my sister, Aubree, on our camera. To this day we still go back and watch those videos with our family and it doesn’t fail to make any of us smile.

What you want to change about this world: One thing I would change about this world is that everyone would stop worrying about what others think or what media has to say about a certain trend; be confident and comfortable with who you are and the things you like!
