Denver senior pictures

Another great senior model rep for Roka Studios to share. Travis attends Legacy High School and we found a unique location for his Denver senior pictures. Travis has a passion for dancing and wants to pursue it after high school. From what I have seen in person-see photos below, but mainly on social media Travis has mad skills and wins quite a few awards. We always love incorporating what is important into our senior photos and delivering something unique in their portraits. Below is his interview.

Looking forward to the most your senior year:
The thing I’m looking forward to the most my senior year is getting to spend time with all of my friends before we all take off on our own adventures.

This summer I am looking forward to:
This summer, I’m most excited to go to Hollywood Vibe Dance Convention/Competition’s Nationals! They’re being held in Las Vegas at the end of June/early July. I can’t wait to spend quality time with my dance company while also getting to learn from huge choreographers and instructors in the dance industry as well as partake in auditions that could change my life.

Favorite thing to do in Colorado:
My favorite thing to do in Colorado would have to be going to Boulder. I love the atmosphere and there’s loads of things to do there.

Something friends/people might not know about me:
Something that friends/people might not know about me is that I am a night owl. I love to stay up until 2 or 3 o’clock in the morning. I don’t know why I enjoy it so much, but staying up that late makes me feel accomplished for some reason.

Your favorite memory growing up:
My favorite memory growing up would have to be going to Destin, Florida with all of the friends I grew up with. My family lived in Colorado while the rest of them still lived in Missouri and it was such a great time because we got to spend the whole week with  people we adored while also being at the beach.

Your dream vacation:
My dream vacation would have to be going to Italy. There’s something about Italy that I think is so beautiful. The food is probably pretty good, too.
If not Italy, then I would have to say Disney World. Disney brings out the little kid in everyone and being there makes me so incredibly happy.

Your proudest moment:
My proudest moment is when I went to Virginia at the end of April/beginning of May to compete and take class at the Hollywood Vibe dance convention. I set a goal to win a certain scholarship that would pay for my nationals fees, give me an invitation to audition for their company, and I would win free convention classes for a year. I set my mind to that goal, and I achieved it. This summer, I get to audition for their company and I can go back to the convention as many times as i want within the next year for free. This might not seem like a huge deal to some, but to me, it boosted my confidence and finally started to make me realize I’m a good dancer

Your biggest struggle:
My biggest struggle so far has been my confidence. It has gotten better since I came back from Hollywood Vibe Virginia, but it still needs improvement. I haven’t always been the greatest dancer. I went to a studio that didn’t treat me properly and didn’t care about how well their students could dance, and then I switched studios. Ever since I switched, I’ve been training anywhere between 15-24 hours a week and have decided to pursue dance as a career. I’ve improved immensely over the past few years, however, I still have the mindset that I’m not a good dancer. I know that that’s not true, but my brain won’t let me shake my confidence issues.

When I grow up I want to be:
A professional dancer! I can’t picture myself doing anything else with my life. Dance makes me feel so full and so happy. Doing anything else with my life could never fulfill me like dance will.

If I won the lottery I would:
I’d definitely give some to my mom and my sister because they’re my number one fans, I’d buy myself a nice house and some nice things, maybe open up my own dance studio, and donate some money to pediatric cancer research.

What would you like to change about school:
I’d like to change how majority of the classes we take won’t benefit us in our adult life. I think we should have to take a finance class, a class where we learn how to pay bills, or something that would be beneficial to us.

What is your favorite thing about school:
My favorite thing about school is that I get to see my friends. I have such a busy schedule outside of school, and getting to see them at school makes things much easier.

What is your favorite tradition with your family or friends:
My favorite family tradition is setting up the Christmas tree on Thanksgiving night. We’ve set up the tree for as long as I can remember and it makes me so excited for Christmas time.

Favorite musical artist:
My favorite musical artist would have to be either Sam Smith or Adele. Both of them use their emotions when they write their songs and there songs are more relatable than anything else on the radio and you can feel that whatever they’re writing about happened to them and their music helps them get through their struggles.

First  or favorite concert experience and why:
My favorite concert experience would have to be going to see Sam Smith with my sister. We’re both huge Sam Smith fans and it was before he got super popular, so it was cool to experience him before he blew up.

Favorite places to shop:
My favorite places to shop are H&M, Forever 21, Express, or American Eagle

Your jam song and why:
My jam song is “Be Right There” by Diplo and Sleepy Tom because it has a really good beat and puts me in a good mood every time I listen to it.

Favorite movies:
My favorite movie would have to be Bridesmaids. I could watch it 100 times and it would never get old. It’s still funny to me even though I’ve seen it way too many times.

Your list of possible colleges and your major:
University of Arizona, Chapman University, Relativity, AMDA, possibly Pace University.
I want to either major in Dance, or double major in Dance and Business/Marketing
